Natalie Metcalf (née Haythornthwaite) is one of England’s most experienced and decorated netballers, renowned for her creativity, vision, and leadership in attack.
A former Super League Player of the Season, Natalie began her career with Yorkshire Jets before starring for Manchester Thunder and Wasps, where she won back-to-back league titles. She then spent three seasons in Australia with the NSW Swifts, winning two Suncorp Super Netball championships, before returning back to Thunder in 2022.
On the international stage, Natalie has been a mainstay of the England Roses since 2015, earning over 80 caps. She was part of the squad that won historic Commonwealth Games gold in 2018, and as captain led England to their first-ever Netball World Cup final in 2023, claiming silver.
Known for her precision feeding, sharp footwork, and composure under pressure, Natalie is as influential off the court as she is on it.
In 2024, she announced her pregnancy and stepped away from the 2025 season, but she returns for the 2026 season.
