Event Description
The Manchester Thunder Development Hub is a high-energy, six-week training programme designed to accelerate player growth and expose athletes to The Thunder Way — our performance philosophy built on intensity and relentless work ethic.
Across the block, players will work with experienced Manchester Thunder Pathway Coaches in a fully supportive and competitive environment. Sessions focus on developing core skills, while challenging athletes to raise their game through high-quality coaching, performance standards, and Thunder-style sessions.
This programme is ideal for aspiring pathway athletes looking to refine their fundamentals, grow confidence, and experience training aligned with Manchester Thunder’s performance pathway.

U11/12: 6pm – 7.30pm
U13/14: 7.30pm – 9pm

Event Timelines

Week 1–2: Core Skills, Movement & Decision Making
High-tempo sessions building strong fundamentals, footwork quality, ball handling, movement patterns, and decision making under pressure — the foundations of The Thunder Way.

Week 3–4: Positional Mastery & Individual Skill Progression
Athletes dive deeper into their positional demands with tailored coaching focused on timing, body positioning, attacking/defending principles, and elevating their personal strengths.

Week 5–6: Tactical Application & Thunder Game Style
Applying learned skills into live scenarios, small-sided games, and individual tactical challenges. Players explore Thunder-style intensity, smart play, and high work-rate expectations.
