Emma Rayner is an exciting young talent in Manchester Thunder’s mid-court, bringing speed, creativity, and composure to both Centre and Wing Attack.
A product of the Thunder pathway, Emma first joined us as a teenager after starting out at YWCA Bury. She progressed through the Roses Academy before making her Netball Super League debut in 2022, helping Thunder secure the league title in her debut season.
In 2024, Emma represented England at the Fast5 World Series in New Zealand, gaining valuable international experience on the senior stage.
Awarded a full Thunder contract in 2025, Emma has stepped confidently into the spotlight, showcasing her precise feeding, dynamic movement, and ability to link seamlessly with shooters.
Nicknamed the “Mini Nat” for stepping into Natalie Metcalf’s role, she has already shown she is making her own mark in the Thunder attack.
With her flair and determination, Emma is quickly establishing herself as one of the brightest young mid-courters in English netball.
