“I’m really looking forward to going down to Cardiff, although it’s always a tough game on a Friday night after the journey. Dragons have recruited really well in the off-season, especially their defence unit is looking a lot different to previous years. Having watched them last weekend against Mavericks, they’re proven that they’re going to be a tough team to beat for anybody this year.”
“I think after our performance last weekend, even though it was rusty and there’s definitely things to work on, there was flashes of real brilliance, and that’s where we’ve kind of honed our training this week, tidying up some of the less polished stuff, and how we can actually look to expose Dragons in that defence unit, but also where we need to win ball because we know they have tall, accurate shooters that they feed really nicely, and that’s going to be a big job for our defence to actually stop that. So starting the defence really early up the court and building that pressure from early doors and making sure we’re putting together four good quarters, and hopefully we’ll come back up the motorway with the win.”

Player(s) To Watch:
The defence end is definitely something to watch out for with Leah Middleton and Jacqui Newton who seem to be partnering really well, and they caused Mavericks a lot of problems last weekend. We’re going to have to be smarter with the ball, and we’re going to have to move it round and clean our lines up, and make sure we’re looking after each other on the court.
